Production Process of Wood Veneered Birch Plywood
Wood veneer birch plywood is a high-end wood product that is favored for its elegant appearance and excellent performance. Its production process covers multiple links from raw material selection to final product molding, and each link plays a vital role in the quality of the final product.
Raw material preparation
Material selection
The core material of wood veneer birch plywood is high-quality birch plywood, and the surface is covered with solid wood veneer. The selection of high-quality birch is the basis for ensuring the performance of the final product. We strictly screen birch from sustainable forests to ensure that it has high density and strength to provide superior physical properties. In addition, veneer materials such as European oak, walnut and ash are strictly screened to ensure the beauty of their texture and color.
Processing process
Before production, birch and veneer materials need to be dried to reduce their moisture content. Excessive moisture content may cause deformation or cracking in subsequent processing. The drying process usually uses hot air drying or vacuum drying technology to ensure that the moisture inside the wood is evenly discharged, thereby improving its stability.
Gluing process
Glue selection
For the selection of glue, we use external WBP (phenolic glue). This glue has excellent water resistance and weather resistance, ensuring the stability of plywood in humid environments. The application of phenolic glue not only improves the durability of the product, but also ensures that there will be no cracking or delamination during long-term use.
Gluing process
The gluing process is a key link in the production of wood veneer birch plywood. First, the dried birch plywood is precisely docked with the solid wood veneer. Subsequently, the phenolic glue is evenly applied. In order to ensure the uniform application of the glue, it is usually sprayed or rolled. Next, the glued material is placed in a hot press for heating and pressurization, which usually lasts for several minutes. The glue cures quickly through the action of high temperature and pressure, thus achieving a strong bond.
Cutting and shaping
Cutting
After gluing, the plywood needs to be cut and shaped. According to market demand, we provide finished products in a variety of specifications, such as 1220x2440mm, 1250x2500mm, 1525x3050mm, etc. During the cutting process, high-precision cutting equipment is used to ensure that the size of each plywood is accurate and the edges are neat. The accuracy of the cutting process directly affects the subsequent assembly and use effect.
Sanding
The cut products also need to be sanded to improve the smoothness and beauty of the surface. The sanding process is usually divided into two stages: coarse grinding and fine grinding. Coarse grinding mainly removes burrs and unevenness generated during the cutting process, while fine grinding aims to achieve higher smoothness and visual effects. The surface of the sanded plywood is smooth and can better accept subsequent surface treatment.
Surface treatment
Coating treatment
In order to enhance the durability and beauty of wood veneer birch plywood, surface treatment is an indispensable step. We use environmentally friendly surface coating technology to form a protective film through spraying and drying of multiple layers of coating. This process not only effectively prevents the intrusion of moisture and dirt, but also improves the gloss and touch of the product.
